Gardner is a longtime Steamboat Springs resident. Originally from Western New York state, Gardner moved to Steamboat Springs in 1986 after visiting Steamboat Springs on vacation and falling in love with the community. Gardner has more than 20 years of leadership experience while working in various Steamboat Springs businesses. He enjoyed a long tenure working for SmartWool in a variety of marketing roles, HIMS Consulting Group as director of staffing and fulfillment, and most recently as general manager for Moving Mountains. In addition, Gardner has been a long-time volunteer in the community, working with organizations such as Partners of Routt County, Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club, and the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club.
Gardner joins STARS as Executive Director and is thrilled to represent an organization that is so well-loved and supported by staff, volunteers, donors, and the community of Steamboat Springs.
