MADDIE LENGEL

Maddie was born and raised in Northeastern Pennsylvania.  You could always find her around the garden, in the woods, or on the mountain. Looking to start her career in the outdoor industry,  she moved to Wyoming in the summer of 2020. Most of her guiding experience was spent on the archery course, the high ropes course, and taking groups into Medicine Bow National Forest. On her days off, she’d go camping, hiking, and exploring.  One of her exploration spots was Steamboat Springs. Loving the work but looking for a change of scenery, she decided to move to Steamboat in November 2021. She found out about STARS while working at the mountain and thought to herself “That’s it. That’s the kind of guiding I want to get into”.  She feels extremely fortunate to be finding her place at STARS and making Steamboat Springs her home. Maddie assists participants and families through the registration process, as well as a plethora of administrative responsibilities while she is in the office. You will also find Maddie assisting at the STARS Equestrian Center and in the field of programming.

Why Maddie Loves STARS….

“I love STARS because it feeds my passion for the outdoors while adding that extra layer of fulfillment.  I love going home at the end of the day knowing that I made something that may not seem possible, possible.”
