STARS Summer Veterans Programs
REGISTRATION IS OPEN!
Cost: A deposit is required from all Veterans which will be returned upon completion of the camp and a survey.
Lodging: Participants will be staying at the STARS Ranch for the duration of their trip, or camping for a few nights in the wilderness depending on which camp participants register for.
Family Members: The cost to bring a family member will cover accommodations, breakfast and dinner daily, and daily transportation to and from activities. It will not include activities unless otherwise specified. Please call (970) 870-1950 if you have questions about bringing a family member to the camp.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.
NOT Included: Airfare/transportation to and from Steamboat Springs, CO.
Registration: To register for any military camps, please use the registration link found below. This will allow you to either login to your account or create a new account if you are a new participant. Once logged into your account, you will find and select the camp that you would like to register for and complete the process from there. Veterans Rafting Camp
Join us for a truly exceptional adventure tailored for disabled military veterans. Our rafting/camping trip is a testament to the spirit of resilience and camaraderie, offering a one-of-a-kind experience amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Northwest Colorado. This trip is not just about rafting; it's about creating lasting memories, fostering connections, and empowering veterans with unique abilities.
Immerse yourself in the thrill of the river from Sunday, July 7th to Thursday, July 11th 2024. This 5 day/4 night overnight rafting and camping trip promises an unforgettable journey through the heart of nature, with each day packed with gorgeous views, differing river conditions, and nightly campfires! We welcome you to this empowering and exhilarating adventure, where the river becomes a symbol of strength, tenacity, and unity for disabled military veterans. It's more than a trip; it's a celebration of courage and shared experiences in the great outdoors! Our team includes experienced rafting guides, outdoor enthusiasts, and STARS staff, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.

Veteran Women’s Camp
Join us for an exclusive disabled women military veteran retreat at the STARS Ranch. This transformative experience is crafted with your unique needs in mind, offering a supportive environment where you can rejuvenate, connect, and thrive. Join us in Steamboat Springs for a retreat that honors your service and resilience. Embark on a journey of healing and empowerment from July 14th to July 18th, 2024. Our retreat spans 5 days/4 nights, promising a holistic and enriching experience that fosters personal growth and connection while including outdoor and recreational opportunities.
- Wellness Workshops: Engage in empowering workshops tailored to enhance physical, mental, and emotional well-being. From adaptive yoga and meditation to mindfulness practices, our experienced instructors will guide you on a journey of self-discovery.
- Peer Support Circles: Forge connections with fellow disabled women veterans through intimate group discussions. Share experiences, challenges, and triumphs in a supportive and understanding environment.

Veteran Freedom Ride Camp - Biking
Embark on an empowering journey of freedom and camaraderie at our Freedom Ride camp—an adaptive biking experience designed exclusively for disabled military veterans. This camp is more than just biking; it's a celebration of resilience, strength, and the joy of the open road and mountain trails. Join us in Steamboat Springs at the STARS Ranch for a transformative biking adventure. Gear up for an unforgettable experience from August 25th to August 29th 2024. This 5 day/4 night camp is meticulously planned to provide adaptive biking opportunities, foster connections, and create lasting memories. Set against the backdrop of Mount Werner, our camp offers accessible trails and amenities, ensuring that every veteran, regardless of ability, can fully participate in the biking experience. Immerse yourself in the beauty of nature and the thrill of adaptive biking all at the same time!
- Adaptive Biking Clinics: Engage in personalized biking instruction led by experienced coaches. Whether you're a novice or an experienced rider, our adaptive equipment and expert guidance cater to all abilities.

Veteran Fly Fishing Camp
Embark on a revitalizing 5-day, 4-night Fishing Adventure from September 8th-12th in the breathtaking landscapes surrounding Steamboat Springs, Colorado, tailored exclusively for disabled military veterans. This immersive experience offers a unique blend of outdoor exploration, camaraderie, and relaxation amidst the stunning natural beauty of the Rocky Mountains and the Yampa Valley. Gear up for up to three days of exhilarating fishing experiences in the pristine waters of the Yampa River or nearby lakes. Our experienced guides, volunteers, and staff will lead you on accessible fishing adventures, providing expert instruction and support to ensure a rewarding experience for anglers of all abilities.
Evenings will be spent relaxing at the lodge or in town, where you can swap stories around the campfire, indulge in delicious meals crafted from locally sourced ingredients, and soak in some hot springs surrounded by epic mountains!
